A NEW venue has been announced for one of North Yorkshire’s agricultural shows this year.

The Aldborough and Boroughbridge Show is due to take place this year on Sunday, July 20 on Dishforth Airfield.

Traditionally the show has been held at a site on Skelton Road, Langthorne, but the field is being ploughed this year.

The show committee have said the show will still have its usual attractions, including classes for horses, ponies, donkeys, sheep and cattle.

There will also be driving classes, dog classes, a “have a go” dog agility course and vintage tractor and car displays. There will also be the opportunity for people to submit their artwork, handicrafts and homemade produce, vegetables and floral displays.

This year there will be new classes for novice gardeners and the committee has worked with the Allotment Society to encourage new participants.
