A CHILDREN’S Easter egg trail has been announced.

Youngsters are invited to search for six clues hidden around Durham’s Market Hall, with chocolate prizes available for winners.

The challenge will run from April 14 to 18, from 11am to 3pm each day, except Good Friday when it will run from 11.30am to 3pm.

Entry forms can be found on the hall’s notice boards. The trail is free to enter for children aged up to 12, who must be accompanied by an adult.

On Good Friday, Barnaby Bear from the Bear Bottom stall will be on hand to help children with the trail from noon to 2pm.

Durham Markets managing director Colin Wilkes said: “There’s plenty to explore in the Market Hall and children will enjoy following the clues, finding their way between the stalls, solving the mystery and, of course, claiming their reward.”
