TWO folk concerts will be staged at a Durham launderette this weekend (April 11-12).

The Hut People will play The Old Cinema Launderette, Gilesgate, Durham City, on Friday, April 11, followed by The Burning Hell the following night.

The Hut People are accordionist Sam Pirt and percussionist Gary Hammond, who have performed with the likes of The Beautiful South and Nina Samone.

The Burning Hell is the alter-ego of songwriter and ukulele player Mathias Kom, of Newfoundland, Canada.

Both shows start at 7.45pm and tickets are £12 in advance or £14 at the door.
