TWO men spent the night in custody after being arrested in High Row, Darlington, shortly before midnight on Saturday (April 5).
Inspector Kevan McCarthy, of Darlington police, said: “Officers were on foot patrol and there was one male acting in a disorderly manner, using abusive language, running into walls and windows.
“He has continued with his behaviour and been arrested for being drunk and disorderly.”
A second man tried to prevent his friend being arrested and was himself arrested for obstructing a police officer.
Both men spent the night in the cells.
