A TRIAL date has been set for the woman charged with harassing the father of a toddler who disappeared more than 30 years ago.

Donna Louise Wright is alleged to have breached a restraining order by contacting Katrice Lee’s father, Richard Lee, using her mobile phone on December 1 last year.

The 34-year-old, of Oak Terrace, West Cornforth, near Spennymoor, County Durham, denied the charge at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates Court today (Thursday, April 3).

Two-year-old Katrice disappeared in 1981 while shopping with her mother on a British Army base in Paderborn, Germany, where Mr Lee, from Hartlepool, was serving with 15/19th The Kings Royal Hussar.

Her family is convinced she is still alive and Mr Lee has dedicated his life to finding his daughter.

A case management hearing will take place at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates Court on Thursday, April 17 and Miss Wright is scheduled to go on trial at Darlington Magistrates Court on Thursday, August 14.

Magistrates granted conditional bail.
