THE RIVER Tees has been illuminated tonight (Wednesday, April2) in support of World Autism Day.
Stockton Borough Council changed the multi-coloured lighting along the riverside to blue, in support of the international Light It Up Blue campaign.
The river now glows blue between the Princess of Wales Bridge and the Millennium Bridge.
The Mayor of Stockton, Councillor Kathryn Nelson, said: “This is a wonderful cause which we are very proud to support and help raise awareness for. Pop down to the Riverside tomorrow evening to see the colourful display.”
The spectacular lighting, which can change colours every few seconds, was commissioned by the Council as part of its multi-million pound town centre regeneration.
