A bus packed full of information and equipment for hearing impaired children is coming to Darlington for the first time on Saturday.

The NDCS Listening Bus will be outside the Dolphin Centre from 11am to 4pm to give hearing impaired children and their families the chance to find out about the latest equipment available such as flashing doorbells, Bluetooth neckloops and vibrating alarm clocks.

The bus also stocks NDCS publications and provides information on NDCS services, activities and alternative resources.

FUNNY NIGHT: An Hilarity Bites Comedy Club evening is taking place at The Forum in Darlington on Saturday.

It starts at 7.45pm and features Nick Doody and Joe Bromehead and is suitable for 18s and over.

Tickets cost £10.

AFTERNOON LECTURE: A Forgotten Darlington Branch Line is the afternoon lecture being held at the Head of Steam museum on Thursday.

It will be delivered by David Corfield and Robin Coulthard in the meeting room at 1.45pm and is open to non-members of the Friends of Darlington Railway Centre and Museum.
