A NEW tattoo parlour in Darlington is raising money for life-saving research whilst inking skin.
The Mad Tatter studio opened on Parkgate last week and its owner Mike Green is supporting Cancer Research UK by donating £5 to the charity for every custom ribbon tattoo it completes in the next fortnight.
Mr Green, who lost his grandfather to cancer and whose brother suffered from hodgkinson's disease, said: “Cancer has had quite a big effect on my family so it is good to try and give a little something back to a charity like Cancer Research.
“We just want to raise as much money as possible; it was only going to be a one-day event but there has been that much interest we are extending it for at least the next two weeks.”
