A CELEBRATED North Yorkshire pub welcomed guests to its grand re-opening tonight (Thursday, March 27).
The Black Bull, in Moulton, near Richmond, closed in January 2012 and has been restored and completely refurbished by new owners Provenance Inns.
About 70 guests attended the re-opening this evening and enjoyed champagne and canapés with Provenance directors Michael Ibbotson and Chris Blundell.
Mr Ibbotson said: “The Black Bull is an exciting project for us.
“The refurbishment has gone well and we look forward to seeing the Black Bull make its comeback.”
Original wood panelling has been restored at the new look Black Bull, a fish bar and tap room have been revived, and existing open fires will be kept blazing throughout the winter months.
Luke Taylor holds the reins as head chef, having worked for Provenance Inns since November 2011 when he opened the Punch Bowl Inn in Marton-cum-Grafton as head chef, and has previously worked at the Rockcliffe Hall Hotel in Hurworth.
