FREE advice and support on bidding for funding is being offered by The Heart of Teesdale Landscape Partnership.

The group is running a three-hour workshop for anyone who is new to funding applications or who has a minimal knowledge of the funding process.

Topics to be covered include understanding funding terms and making your application stand out.

The Community and Voluntary Organisations’ Services (CAVOS) is working in partnership with Durham Community Action to provide the training.

Gillian Fortune, chief executive officer of CAVOS, said: “It’s very important to equip small community groups with the skills necessary to successfully acquire funding.

“When funding is as sought after as it is currently, it’s important that groups know how to make their application stand out from the crowd.”

The session is being held at Winston Village Hall, near to Barnard Castle, on Tuesday, April 1, between 6.30pm and 9.30pm.

Booking is essential as there are only 20 places available. A small deposit is needed upon booking and this will be returned at the end of the session.

To book a place, and for further details, contact Susie Lane, community officer, at the Heart of Teesdale Landscape Partnership, on 03000-264903 or email susanne.lane@durham.gov.uk
