A LIONS club will be raising money for a cancer charity this week (March 27-28).
Members of Durham Lions Club will be holding collections in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care’s Great Daffodil Appeal in Tesco Extra, Dragonville, Durham City, on Thursday and Friday.
President George O’Donnell said: “We can fund one hour of free nursing care for someone in our area by raising just £20. Come along and help us.”
A similar collection last year raised £2,000 for the charity.
