PEOPLE can dress up and step back in time for a 1940s evening at Spennymoor Town Hall on Friday, March 28, 7pm to 11pm.

Entertainment will be provided by Colin Bourdiec, as George Formby, and cabaret artist Paul Harper and there will be a pie and pea supper.

HISTORY GROUP: Howden-le-Wear Local History Society will hold its annual general meeting at Howden-le-Wear Community Centre on Tuesday, March 18, 7pm, followed by light refreshments.

STADIUM MEETING: The Prince Bishop Community Stadium committee, which wants to create a sports arena at Copeland Lane, in Evenwood, will meet at the Eden Arms Hotel, in West Auckland, on Tuesday, March 18, 7.30pm. New members, particularly those with disabilities, are wanted.
