ADVICE and support has been offered to Shildon residents to help them to lead healthier lives.
The Check4Life Health Bus visited Shildon recently and trained advisors offered tailored tips to visitors.
Durham county councillor Brian Stephens, cabinet member for neighbourhoods and local partnerships, joined local residents for a health check.
He said: “The Shildon Health Express is an exciting health initiative.
“Bringing the Check4Life bus to the town is just part of the package to improve the health and wellbeing of the people of Shildon."
If successful it is hoped that the Health Bus scheme will eventually be rolled out across the county.
Details on the scheme can be obtained from Lyndsey Thomason, health express co-ordinator, on 03000-267206.
