BOARD MEETING: The Derwent Valley Partnership Board will meet on Wednesday, March 26 at the Salvation Army Hall, in Sherburn Terrace, Consett at 6pm. The meeting will discuss how council budget cuts over the coming financial year will impact on local residents.
TABLE SALE: Craghead Village Hall, in Standerton Terrace, Craghead will host a table top and tack sale on Sunday, March 23 from 10am to 1pm. Tables, priced £5, can be booked on 01207-291341. Admission to the public is free and refreshments are available on the day.
WEDDING FAIR: Lumley Castle, near Chester-le-Street, is to host a spring wedding fair on Sunday (March 16). About 40 companies, providing everything from flowers and cakes to wedding cars and entertainment, will be taking part. The event takes place from 1pm to 4pm and admission is £1.
FAMILY DISCO: Dipton Community Centre will hold a family disco on Sunday, March 23 from 4.30pm to 6.30pm. Admission is £1.50 per child and free for adults.
CHARITY NIGHT: Steph’s - The Club That Rocks, in Consett, is to hold a charity night on Saturday, March 29 at 7pm, raising money for the British Biker Relief Foundation and Great North Air Ambulance. Among the bands appearing will be The Borstal Babies, Burning Worlds, Shokker and Avatar
