FREE events will be held in West Cornforth tomorrow (Saturday, March 15) to thank supporters of a new group that tackles domestic abuse.
Wishes 4 Women was set up to help families in the village and surrounding area following a series of courses on the issue.
Now the group is established it wants to raise awareness of its work and thank local people for their backing.
There will be a family fun day at West Cornforth Community Centre tomorrow, from 1pm to 3.30pm, with a bouncy castle, treasure hunt, face painting, children’s crafts, a free raffle, hand and nail treatments and food will be on sale.
At 7pm women are asked to march in silence along High Street, starting at the community centre end, towards The Slake pub, which will host an over 18s disco from 7.30pm.
Glow sticks will be provided for the march.
