WARTIME PARTY: Beamish Museum will hold a 1940s Wartime Party at The Hut, Ushaw Moor, on Saturday (March 15) from 1pm to 4pm. There will be wartime food and refreshments, family activities and Beamish objects on display. Entry is free.

CUTHBERT’S CANTATA: Crook and Weardale Choral Society will perform Adrian Self’s St Cuthbert’s Cantata in St Cuthbert’s Chapel, Ushaw College, near Durham, on St Cuthbert’s Day – Thursday, March 20. The concert starts at 7.30pm. The composer will attend. Tickets are £5. A second performance will take place in St Cuthbert’s Church, Crook, on Tuesday, March 25, at 7.30pm. Entry is free but there will be a retiring collection.

CHOIR NIGHT: Durham Constabulary Male Voice Choir will hold its annual concert in Elvet Methodist Church, Old Elvet, Durham, on Friday, April 4, at 7pm. The evening will also feature Willington-based youth musical group Natural High. Tickets, priced £6, can be bought at the door.
