A funding information session is being held by the County Durham Community Foundation in Sadberge next week.

It is aimed at groups and individuals who want to learn more about how to apply for funding of up to £5,000 for their community projects.

The session will run from 10am to 11.30am at Sadberge Village Hall on March 19 and anyone wishing to attend can register by email volunteer@cdcf.org.uk or call 0191 378 6340.

TYRES SLASHED: Police have arrested two men suspected of slashing the tyres of cars parked in the Eastbourne area.

The incidents happened in January when all four tyres on one car were slashed and a second car had three slashed.

Two men, aged 29 and 36, have been charged with criminal damage.
