BACON FUNDRAISER: Residents at Greencroft Court retirement home, in Darlington, will host a Bacon Butty morning in aid of Sports Relief on Friday, March 21, between 9.30am and 11am. DRIVER ROADSHOW: Darlington Neighbourhood Police Teams will raise awareness of road safety with a roadshow at Morrisons Morton Park, in Darlington, on Saturday, March 15, between 10am and 2pm. The event will feature traffic vehicles, a motorbike section and the fire service, who will give demonstrations of cutting equipment. There will also be a driver simulator wearing beer goggles.

OPERA NIGHT: Cockerton Methodist Church will host A Night at the Opera with Opera by Design, featuring a selection of classic arias, in aid of Darlington Samaritans. The event starts at 7.30pm.
