POLICE investigating a shop robbery in Sunderland have arrested three people.
Officers were called to reports of a robbery at the convenience store News 2000 on the city’s Roker Avenue at at 8.15pm on Sunday, March 9.
A police spokesmans said: “Two men went into the shop, one armed with a pair of scissors, and threatened a staff member before stealing a small amount of cash.
“Last night (Tuesday March 11), police arrested two men aged 20 and 18 years old, and a male youth aged 16, on suspicion of robbery.
“They are currently in custody helping police with their enquiries.”
