AN HISTORIC home is searching for more volunteers to help it cater for an increasing number of visitors.

Kiplin Hall, near Scorton, Richmond is looking for more people to join its volunteers, working as room stewards, in the tea room or on the till at the Jacobean house.

A volunteer training day for potential recruits will take place on Friday, March 14 between 9.30am and 12.30pm.

Curator Dawn Webster said without their team of volunteers, Kiplin Hall would be unable to open to the public.

She said: “Our visitor numbers increase every year and we would welcome people who would like to chat to visitors, help in the tea room and generally keep an eye on things. Volunteers enjoy the informal atmosphere and meeting both visitors and other members of Kiplin’s team.”

Anyone interested in volunteering at the hall or joining the training morning should call Dawn Webster on 01748-818178.
