POLICE APPEAL: Durham Police are urging residents to mark their bikes in a bid to deter criminals. The appeal comes after a yellow and black cycle was stolen from a shed on Osric Place, in Newton Aycliffe, between 9pm on Monday, March 3, and 6.40am the following day. The bike was later recovered near to Woodham Crescent in the town. Details on the break-in should be passed to the police on 101.
