PRINCE Andrew will visit County Durham tomorrow (Friday, March 7) to officially open a new £30m school.
His Royal Highness The Duke of York will be in Stanley to carry out the ceremony at North Durham Academy.
The Prince will tour the 1,100-pupil school and sixth form and unveil a plaque marking the occasion.
The academy school was formed two years ago by the merger of Stanley School of Technology and Greencroft Business and Enterprise College Community School.
It opened the doors of its new purpose-built premises on the former King’s Head Playing Fields in September.
