DEERNESS WALK: Crook and Weardale Ramblers has organised a six-and-a-half mile easy/moderate grade walk on Sunday, March 9, in the Deerness Valley. The group will leave Crook Market Place at 10am or walkers can meet the leader at Esh Winning in small car park at the bottom of lane next to Lloyds Bank at 10.15 am. ORGAN ENTERTAINMENT: The North East Theatre Organ Association, based in the New Victoria Centre, High Street., Howden-Le-Wear, will put on a special film presentation of Buster Keaton's silent feature Steamboat Bill Jr with live accompaniment by Nigel Ogden on Saturday, March 15, at 7pm. On Sunday,March 16, at 2.30pm Mr Ogden will perform on the Wurlitzer organ. Tickets for each event cost £7 and are available from David Kirkbride on 01388-762467.
