Plans to build 36 homes and access on land north of The Willows in Dalton are due to go before planners at Hambleton District Council’s planning meeting on Thursday (March 6). Outline permission has already been granted for the housing development following an appeal on July 4, 2013. On Thursday, the planning committee will look at details relating to landscaping, appearance, layout and scale. The development includes four one-bedroom apartments, ten two-bedroom terraced homes, 13 detached, four bedroom homes and nine five-bedroom houses.

INFORMATION FOR THE ELDERLY: AGE UK North Yorkshire is holding a coffee morning in Northallerton to provide elderly residents with information on renewing driving licenses and other issues. The charity is offering to help anyone who is over the age of 70 who needs help renewing their licence online, after being informed some websites are charging for the service. Licence renewal is free on the official Government website; www.gov.uk. The coffee morning will be held at the charity’s office on Northallerton High Street on Thursday, March 6 between 10.30am and 12.30pm.
