A SHOWER designer and manufacturer is encouraging its staff to improve their fitness by taking part in lunchtime walks.
Roman is supporting Local Motion, a Darlington Borough Council and Durham County Council healthy lifestyle initiative.
Staff completed a one mile loop around Aycliffe Business Park from the company’s base on Whitworth Avenue in Newton Aycliffe.
The lunchtime walks, which take place every two weeks, are led by sustainable travel ranger Steven Shepperson and are open to everyone on the business park.
David Osborne, managing director at Roman, said: “We are always pro-active in supporting local initiatives here at Roman and it’s great to see that many of our staff are enthusiastic about getting involved and staying fit and active.”
