Young people and parents invited to discuss youth club proposals
A MEETING for young people and their parents over a proposed youth club scheme is taking place in Gainford.
Members of Gainford and Langton Parish Council have agreed to fund a ten-week pilot scheme, costing £350, to transport 15 young people, by minibus, to The Hub, in Barnard Castle, enabling the youngsters to access facilities at the establishment.
There will be a meeting on Tuesday (March 4), in Gainford village hall, at 7pm, for parents and their children to discuss details of the sessions and provide parental permission.
The weekly trip is likely to take place on a Tuesday or Friday for children who are in year seven and above at school.
