SPINNING DAY: The Durham Guild of Spinners, Weavers and Dyers will hold a ‘have-a-go spinning day’ at St Oswald’s Institute, Church Street, Durham, on Saturday, March 15, from 10am to 4pm. TRAFFIC LIGHTS: A set of traffic lights for a pedestrian crossing of the A167 near St Monica Grove, Neville's Cross, Durham City, have been removed so the crossing can be upgraded, local county councillor Nigel Martin has said. The lights have not been removed permanently, but will be back in a few days.
