A REUNION is being held for former pupils who studied at Spennymoor School and Sixth Form between 1965 and 1972.
Arlene Willetts, formerly Gibson, and Gillian McLean, nee Eggleston, are behind the scheme.
Mrs Willetts, 60, a teacher at South Tyneside College, in South Shields, said: “It’s been 42 years since we left the school.
“We had a reunion ten years ago and everyone enjoyed that so we’re having another one.
“The reunion is open to people who went on to the sixth form and also those who left the school when they were 16.”
It is hoped to attract 40 people to the reunion although nine of the classmates have still to be traced.
The reunion is at the Duncombe Suite, in Whitworth Hall Hotel, in Spennymoor, on Saturday, May 31, between 6pm and midnight.
A £20 fee is sought to help cover costs and advanced notice of attendance is required.
