A SCHOOL has taken part in a project which uses Christian values to help give youngsters positive messages about how to live their lives.
Pupils from Escomb Primary School, near Bishop Auckland, spent the week learning about music and singing songs as part of the iSingPop project.
More than 130 children marked the end of week with a concert in front of family and friend at the Wear Valley Christian Centre, in Bishop Auckland.
The songs have been recorded on to a CD and a group of children also sang at the church’s family service on Sunday (February 16).
Headteacher of Escomb Primary Scool, Wendy Gill said: “The song lyrics underpinned Christian values and helped give the children positive messages about how to live their lives.
“The collaboration between the church, school and community was extremely powerful and productive and this was brought home by the fabulous concert. It was a wonderful way to celebrate.”
