Year Five pupils at Ilkley’s Moorfield School went on a trip to the Barbara Hepworth Gallery in Wakefield last week.
As part of a design technology and art project they studied and drew the sculptures and then attended a workshop and created their own 3D models.
Art teacher, Lisbet Redman, said: “We had a fascinating day at this purpose-built gallery for the Yorkshire-born artist, studying shape, space and light.
“We also explored drawing in different ways.”
