Northumbria Police: Investigating
POLICE have arrested the driver of a car that knocked over a teenager before Christmas.
The accident happened just before 9.30pm, on Saturday, December 21, at the junction of Walker Road and Burstow Avenue, Newcastle.
The victim, a 13-year-old boy, was taken to the city’s Royal Victoria Infirmary with serious injuries.
he driver, a man aged 33, has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and has been bailed pending further enquiries. The investigation continues and anyone with information should call Northumbria Police on 101, extension 69191, quoting reference 1264 21/12/13.
