DARLINGTON Film Club is hosting an exclusive showing of Invictus (12), starring Morgan Freeman and Matt Damon, at the Forum, in Borough Road, at 7.30pm, on March 18.

Only 100 tickets are available for the screening, which is being held to raise funds for Darlington Rugby Club’s junior team and the Friends of the Forum.

PARTY TIME: A party was held at Elderwood care home, in Westmoreland Street, on Tuesday (Febraury 11), after it was praised in a national care survey. Your Care Rating – the country’s largest survey of care home residents - found that  the home performs above the national average. The results from the survey found Elderwood received an overall performance rating (OPR) of 910 out of 1,000. The national average was 872 out of 1,000.
