Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue
A PASSENGER in a car which struck a lamppost was taken to hospital with chest injuries.
The accident happened around 9.10pm last night (Tuesday) on Queen's Road, Blackhill, Consett.
The victim was trapped in the rear of the car. After being released he was taken to the University Hospital of North Durham.
