BAMfest wants to encourage volunteers from the Bedale area to come forward to help build on the festivals success.
An Open Evening for Volunteers is being held on Monday, February 24 at Big Sheep Little Cow Farm in Bedale between 7pm and 9pm.
Festival volunteer co-ordinator Wendy Arrowsmith said: “We have a wide range of potential jobs for willing local volunteers to get involved in the Festival this year. In exchange for a few hours work each day, we will reward you with free festival tickets.
“We have organised an open evening to explain what is involved and give people an opportunity to meet the Festival team and other volunteers. We’d love to see more people get the BAMfest buzz.”
Volunteers are needed to help in various areas, including setting up the site and the venues and to clear the site and venues, the festival campsite, the BAMfest ticket desk and information point and to help to sell BAMfest merchandise and CDs as well as venue stewarding.
This year's event is being staged from May 30 to June 1 and one of the headline acts is Martin Carthy MBE, one of Britain's leading folk musicians.
