VILLAGERS are being urged to attend a parish council meeting for discussions about the A67 road closure.
Officials from Darlington Borough Council have been invited to attend the Gainford and Langton Parish council meeting, next month to discuss the A67 road closure at Carlbury and the diversion.
The road was closed on Saturday for two weeks to allow phase one of a £2.4m programme of repairs to take place on the area affected by a landslip.
For phases two and three of the work, the road will be closed for almost a year.
The parish council meeting takes place in Gainford Village Hall, on Monday, March 3, at 7pm.
The Public Participation slot will be extended to allow for questions from village residents.
Anyone unable to attend the meeting, but who has a question to pass onto the officials, should email parish clerk Martin Clark on gainfordlangton@aol.com.
