ALLOTMENT holders are being urged to protect their tools and equipment, following a spate of thefts.
Neighbourhood Watch co-ordinator, John Rawe, will offer crime prevention advice to gardeners at the general meeting of Pollards Allotments in Bishop Auckland at 10am on Saturday, February 9.
The anti-theft device, Smart Water, which provides an effective way to mark and identify equipment, will also be available.
