DIABETES MEETING: Diabetes UK’s Durham Voluntary Group will meet in the Diabetes centre at the University Hospital of North Durham, Durham City, on Tuesday, February 11, at 7.30pm. The speaker will be Rebecca Warden, business and performance support manager for acute and long term conditions for the County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust. There will be refreshments afterwards.

TOP SCORE: The Bishops’ Mill, a Wetherspoons pub on Walkergate, Durham City, has gained the top five-star rating for hygiene from Durham County Council inspectors. Manager Guy Stoker said he was delighted and hygiene standards were of paramount importance.

CROSSGATE TALKS: The next meeting of Crossgate Community Partnership takes place at North Road Methodist Church, North Road, Durham, on Monday (February 3) at 7.45pm. The meeting will include a discussion on proposals to redevelop the County Hospital.
