A HOST of book-themed activities are taking place in Darlington next week in celebration of National Libraries Day on February 8.

Both Crown Street and Cockerton libraries will stage special events such as book clubs, poetry workshops and storytime sessions for children.

Crown Street Library is also hosting a 25p book sale all week and there will be various literary-themed competitions and quizzes on offer.
