POLICE are hunting a man who threw petrol over a woman before running off.
The incident happed at High Hauxley, near Morpeth in Northumberland at 6.20am on Wednesday, January 29.
Northumbria Police say the woman was standing to the rear of Kirkwell Cottages when she was approached by a man.
He threw petrol over her before running off.
PC Mark Redfern, who is investigating, said: "This is a very unusual incident and I would appeal for anyone who was in the area early on Wednesday morning and who saw anyone, or anything, suspicious to contact us."
