OWNERS of a County Durham animal sanctuary are in the process of being evicted from their farm.

Bailiffs working for Redstone Mortgages Ltd arrived at the Rainbow Ark Animal Sanctuary at around noon today to evict Paula Campbell, who has run the sanctuary at Milkup Bank Farm in Willington for around 15 years.

The Northern Echo:
Paula Campbell talks to bailiffs who are trying to enter the property

Eight protestors, including one in a chicken suit, set up a blockade at the main gate with a van and Land Rover.

Durham Police are also in attendance to monitor the situation and keep the peace.

It would be interesting if a *****full and comprehensive ****detailed list of all the 'owners' of all these *** Bailiffe Companies**** were published for 'full public scruitiny', both 'private and otherwise'. Apparently in certain parts of the 'south of England' (not so many years ago), 'one or two' of these '*****Medevial Bailiff Companies'****, (***Not all of course) were reputed, **Quote, .... 'That they would take the last crust of bread off an 'elderley man or woman', making sure full and utter payment was made'. ........ 'Smacks of a medevial Horror Story'. There again it does not surprise me, we still have 'modern money-grabbing miser real larger than life **Fagins*** around.',...........
.....in *****another respect... you have just have to take a closer look at some of these so called 'Lending Companies', **READ the **SMALL **PRINT, before taking out any loan. ****Massive pay back percentages on any money borrowed, with some (Again, not all of course).

cushybutterfield - do you type so that your comment is essentially unreadable on purpose? You may have a valid point in there somewhere, but I'll be damned if I could work out what you are trying to say. Try again, but without the ********asterisks***
***** and capitalise only when it should be.

It might be prudent to check Redstone Mortgages (via google) and you will get a better idea of what this uncaring company are like. It might also be beneficial to contact the Financial Ombudsman as to this companys conduct, the Financial Ombudsman is now known as Financial Conduct Authority http://www.fca.org.u
k/ under the complaints procedure especially as Redstone do not get good reports from people who have had to have dealings with them. Good Luck and Best Wishes.

the mortgage company involved in the re-possession of the animal sanctuary is Redstone, they were fined in 2010 for mishandling arrears and unfairly treating their customers, any bad publicity we can get for them over this cannot be a bad thing, so let people know of their rep, and let them know how we feel about their actions...this is their contact details; Redstone mortgages contacts are Gateway House, Gargrave road, Skipton, North Yorkshire, BD23 2HL in UK. Redstone mortgages company contact number is 0844 8922730.

This selfish woman should not have dragged these poor animals into her financial problems. Anyone who first priority was the safety and welfare of the animals would have moved them to places of safety prior to the eviction.
This woman has used the animals to get publicity and raise money.
Not satisfied with the stress caused to these animals during the eviction her and her group of thugs deliberately tried to access the site over the weekend causing more stress to the animals.
