A BLACK handbag was stolen from a black Vauxhall Astra that was parked outside a property on Standield Road, Newton Aycliffe. The theft occurred between 3pm and 5pm on Monday, January 20. The bag was located a short distance away and a small amount of cash was missing. POLICE APPEAL: Sometime between 8 am and 9am on Saturday, January 18, a Red Carrera mountain bike was stolen from the back garden of a property at Fenhall Green, Newton Aycliffe. The bike had black rims and spokes and a Union Jack sticker near the handle bars. SPIRITUAL NIGHT: Trimdon Grange Community Centre is hosting an evening of spiritual clairvoyance led by medium Lynda Bland from 7pm to 8.30pm tomorrow (Wednesday, January 29).
