A DECISION is set to be made on a revised version of a housing scheme, which was approved after a councillor opposed to the development pressed the wrong button and voted in favour of the plan.
Gladman Developments is seeking planning permission for a 225-home estate on agricultural land near Kirkbymoorside, months after Ryedale District councillor David Cussons sparked consternation by mistakenly tipping a vote in favour of the plan.
A judicial review is set to be held over the vote in September on the scheme for Westfields, after the council decided to attempt to revoke the decision.
Gladman has since submitted a revised scheme for 225 homes - 15 more than the original plans - and have removed a residential care facilities from the plans.
The new application is set to be discussed at an extraordinary meeting of Ryedale District Council’s planning committee on February 4, when it will meet at Lady Lumley’s School, in Pickering.
