EACH month, The Northern Echo highlights one of the many dogs looking for a home at the Dogs Trust, in Sadberge, near Darlington.

Jed, a seven-year-old male Lurcher, has been unlucky in the past and is looking for his third owner.

Although he was initially adopted from an another animal welfare organisation at four months old, he was returned seven months later because he was too energetic for the owner’s older dog to cope with.

After being transferred to Dogs Trust Darlington he was rehomed in 2012 but, after 15 months, he was returned to the centre due to a change in the owners’ personal circumstances.

Rebecca McKeown, from Dogs Trust, said: “Jed hasn’t had the best start and would love a special new home where he can enjoy the next chapter of his life.

“Jed would love a home where his owners are around for most of the day as he adores attention, he could live with older teenagers and perhaps a nice lady dog.

“He enjoys the finer things in life, such as a stroll in the park, a comfy sofa, a tasty treat and lots of hugs.”
