A new monthly group for men over 50 is being held at Age UK’s Betjeman Resource Centre in East Stanley, starting Tuesday, February 4, from 1pm-3pm.

The first meeting is to plan activities and venues to visit with costs vary depending on activities. Contact 01027-280119 for further information.

MEETING DATE: Derwent Valley Partnership is holding a board meeting on Wednesday, January 29, from 6pm-8pm, at Consett Salvation Army Hall, Sherburn Terrace, Consett. Parking is available adjacent to the hall and refreshments will be provided.

DANCE CLASSES: A retro dance aerobics class is held at Belle Vue Leisure Centre, in Consett, with coach Jane Robson at 7pm, each Sunday. Admission is £3.90. For more information call 01207-218151.

FITNESS SESSIONS: A series of Body Perfect Pilates classes are taking place every Sunday at 5pm in Belle Vue Leisure Centre, Consett. Admission is £3.90. For more information call 01207-218151.

BOGUS CALLERS: A meeting for lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender people about bogus callers is being held at Age UK’s Betjeman Resource Centre in East Stanley.

A short presentation including a DVD film, lasting about an hour, will be given, followed by a light lunch of soup and a bun.

KIDS SWIMMING: Little Bubbles fun swim sessions with toys and music for children aged up to five are running at Belle Vue Swim Centre, Consett on Mondays, Tuesdays Wednesdays and Fridays from 12pm-1pm. Admission for one parent and one child costs £3.

PLAY GROUP: A term-time playgroup for children aged two to five runs at Chester-le-Street Community Centre every weekday morning from 9.45am-11.45am. Admission is £4. For more information please call 0191-388-4752.
