FREE healthy-lifestyle courses are being offered to help people stick to their New Year’s resolutions.
The Pioneering Care Partnership (PCP)and Durham County Council’s Local Motion project are organising two six-week, healthy lifestyle courses in Newton Aycliffe.
Places are still available on the first course, which begins on Monday, January 20 at Woodham Community Centre on St Elizabeth’s Close and runs until Monday, March 3.
The class will take place from 10.30am to noon.
Each session will cover a different topic, namely healthy Indian cookery, guided health walks, Zumba, Nordic walking, sound therapy and reiki and a group activity.
If the courses are successful they will be arranged for other areas, as part of the Local Motion programme, which promotes the health benefits of active travel, and the PCP’s commitment to improving health and wellbeing.
