ANTIQUE jewellery and ornaments were stolen when thieves raided a house while the owners were out.

The raiders broke into the home on Oakdale, Harrogate, during the early hours of January 4 and among the distinctive haul were four Royal Doulton figurines of war evacuees.

Police are appealing to anyone who saw any suspicious people or vehicles in the area around the time of the incident to get in touch.

They would also like to hear from anyone who has been offered any of the stolen property.

Contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option two- and ask for Detective Constable Fiona Saunderson or Harrogate CID. Alternatively, information can be emailed to fiona.saunderson@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk or Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111.
