SHADOW ministers from across the region joined Stockton South’s Labour candidate for a day of campaigning in Ingleby Barwick yesterday (SATURDAY).

Labour’s shadow Treasury Minister Catherine McKinnell, along with fellow shadow ministers Jenny Chapman, Chi Onwurah, Roberta Blackman-Woods, Iain Wright and other North-East MPs to talk to voters about the cost of living outside Tesco in Ingleby Barwick, near Stockton.

They were supporting Stockton South Labour candidate Louise Baldock, who hopes to win the seat back from Conservative incumbent James Wharton in 2015. The seat is an important marginal seat for both parties.

The Labour Party was campaigning in each of the 106 key seats it aims to win at the 2015 General Election yesterday as part of a #CostofCameron day, aimed to highlight what it perceives as a cost of living crisis.

The campaign comes as Labour said working people were now on average £1,600 a year worse off since David Cameron came to office.
