RESIDENTS are being asked what improvements they want for their village.

Durham County Council is sending a Community Action Team (CAT) to Grange Villa, near Chester-le-Street, on Monday (January 13). The council’s Environment, Health and Consumer Protection Team will work with Durham Constabulary and the County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service to tackle issues that residents have already told them are a priority.

The team is appealing to residents to get involved and advise on how they would like to see their neighbourhood improved.

On Tuesday, January 21 the team will hold a meeting at Grange Villa Community Centre, East Street, at 7.30pm.

Drop-in sessions, giving residents the chance to find out more about what is happening, will also take place at the community centre on Monday, January 27 between 10am and 12.30pm and on Monday, February 17 between 4.30pm and 6.30pm.

The team will look at housing, environmental and health issues.
