POLICE are appealing to New Year revellers that might have information about an assault to get in touch.
At about 12.45am on Wednesday, January 1, a man was assaulted while drinking in the bar area of the White Horse pub, in Market Street, Ferryhill.
The 35-year-old sustained facial injuries in the attack which required stitches around the right eye.
Officers are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the premises.
They are also appealing for anyone who was in the pub on New Year’s Eve or the early hours of New Year’s Day to come forward with any information about the incident.
