John 'The Badge' Roberts
POLICE investigating the murder of John "The Badge" Roberts have arrested a man on suspicion of murder.
Mr Roberts, 32, a football memorabilia seller, was found dead inside his home in Park Terrace, Winlaton, on Sunday, December 16, 2012.
Enquiries into his death have been ongoing since and at about 7am this morning, a 43-year-old Newcastle man was arrested on suspicion of murder.
He is now in custody helping detectives with their enquiries.
A spokesperson for Northumbria Police said: "Officers are continuing to appeal for information into the unsolved murder and anyone with any information is asked to contact detectives on 101 ext 69191 or by ringing Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
